#Occupy Solar - Be Your Own Power Company
Solar Santa Ideas for Christmas and the Holidays

November 14. 2011

Greetings,

Experienced any unusual weather lately?  The tornadoes that ripped through Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee April 27 touched down here in our backyard, the Joplin tornado May 29 brought us enough hail here to have a last Sunday in May snowball fight, record droughts in Texas and surrounds, floods elsewhere too numerous to mention with Irene in New England being an exception and then New England getting clobbered again with record early snows and no electricity for weeks.  Fortunately, hurricane season has been pretty bland this year but I am standing by my prediction that someday we will have a Christmas hurricane (named after one of Santa's reindeer?).

We have talked to lots of folks this year about creating sustainable backup systems for refrigeration, lighting, water pumping, ventilation, medical device operation like CPAPs & BIPAPs, and there are lots of folks who have acted to take care of their basic needs.  My opinion about this is that it's not just for me - if I cannot help myself then I am not in a good position to help anyone else.

There is no better time than now to #Occupy Solar and become your own power company to meet as many basic needs as you can.  Solar panel prices have never been lower, battery and other component prices are stable and deliveries are good.  There's no better return on investment available unless you are a Wall Street robber baron.

The Federal solar tax credit of 30% isn't supposed to expire until 2016 but with the 525 Washington brainiacs we elected and the "sutper committee" there's no telling what will happen.

I can think of about 500 other good reasons, but will not repeat the daily news.  Call us at 931-962-8665 or email sales@sunshineworks.com we are here to help.
