Lugging around a 12 volt automotive or
marine battery is doable, but is does not quite meet the
definition of "portable" from our way of thinking.
Here are several unique portable batteries
that can be used to charge electronic devices or provide
short term power for lighting and other uses.
Power Pack IP1028PP
 Our
Power Pack is a unique emergency portable battery solution
that combines a 12 volt 8 amp hour rechargeable battery with
an integrated solar panel for recharging itself. With
the detachable cigarette lighter plug provided, this unit
can power or recharge camcorders, digital cameras, cell
phones, PDAs, iPods, two-way radios, portable DVD players
and more.
It can also double as a power source for off
grid applications like powering surveillance cameras, low
voltage lighting or remote equipment. It can be rack
mounted, pole mounted or used as a portable power source.
This is also an excellent unit for emergency
preparedness applications.
 The
12 volt batter can be recharged by sunlight using the built
in solar module or the 115 volt 800 mA wall charger which is
provided.

Power Plant Notebook Battery
 The
Power Plant Notebook Battery is a 12 volt 5 amp hour
auxiliary battery that provides addition run time for
portable devices and recharge power for camcorders, laptop
PCs, cell phones, iPods, portable DVD players, GPS devices,
lighting, digital camera batteries and more.
It can be recharged using the
wall charger (provided), from the car using an optional
adapter cord or from one of our portable solar binders.
The Power Plant measures 10 x
7.2 x .86 inches and weighs 3 pounds 11 ounces.
The power level in the battery can be
checked using the built in 5 LED fuel gauge by pushing a
button on the back of the battery. This little beauty
packs a lot of power and will fit in any laptop carrying
case.
