TruProtect Environmentally Friendly Reflective Sheeting

TruProtect is a patented product made from 95% recycled materials which has remarkable properties as a 98% plus effective radiant heat barrier and insulator.

Three layers of aluminum (0.13mm, .05mm, and .05mm) each separated by two layers of 6mm fiberboard and air spaces leads to TruProtect’s high test results for thermal performance and reflectance.

When the 4 x 8 foot panels are used as roof or wall radiant barriers, TruProtect provides a light weight, sturdy solution for reducing infrared transfer radiation reflecting up to 98% of the heat.

When TruProtect is installed according to the instructions the taped seams and edges provide an excellent impervious barrier against heat loss through convection and infiltration.  TruProtect can also be factory bonded to OSB or drywall.

Environmentally Friendly

TruProtect is made from 95% recycled materials with the multiple layers bonded by adhesives that are plant based and water soluble.  The active ingredient in the V-769 Fire Retardant is a very stable aqueous organic solution.  It is non-regulated by the DOT and carries an HMIS rating of 1-0-0. Carcinogenicity: None of the components in this material are listed by IARC, NTP, or OSHA. It is listed as a non-hazardous product.

TruProtect and Sunshine Works

TruProtect is suitable for a number of uses which are important to successful off grid energy applications, radiant shielding being one of the most important ones.  Many small off grid cottage or small house systems rely on natural ventilation using products like our solar ceiling fans or solar ventilating fans which work much more effectively if you can minimize thermal heat gain through reflective shielding.
