Vari-Fan Ceiling Fan Indoor 12 - 24 Volt DC

The DC powered Vari-Fan has a more conventional appearance and performance characteristics than our 60 inch diameter blade Vari-Cyclone ceiling fans. The Vari-Fan can be assembled with either 4 or 5 blades with a 42 inch diameter blade swing. 

The Vari-Fan can be used in a variety of indoor applications including homes, enclosed
porches, greenhouses, warehouses, offices, schools and cabins.  Everything you need to assemble and mount a 4-blade or 5-blade Vari-Fan comes right in the box.

The energy efficient Vari-Fan uses a permanent magnet, TENV (totally enclosed non-ventilated) motor with long life brushes.

The Vari-Fan draws 0.5 amps @ 12 VDC (only 6 watts!) and 0.78 amps at 24 VDC. At 12 VDC the 5-blade fan will turn at approximately 60 rpm moving 1,500 cubic feet of air per minute when mounted at least 8 feet above the floor in an open room. At 24 VDC the 5-blade fan will turn at approximately 120 rpm moving 2,700 cubic feet of air per minute when mounted at least 8 feet above the floor in an open room.

Vari-Fan Features

• Can be mounted flush mounted 10” below the ceiling to 48” from ceiling (4” down rod included, custom rod lengths are available)

Why You Need Speed Control

For maximum efficiency use the optional Speed Control in conjunction with the Vari-Fan DC Powered Ceiling Fans. The Speed Control makes clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation possible.  Without the Speed Control the fans operate at one speed determined by the input voltage.

The Speed Control outputs an adjustable 12 to 30 volts DC from an input of 11 to 24 volts DC. It has a voltage control potentiometer with an on - off switch and an output voltage reverse switch to reverse the fan's direction. It is overload protected by input and output self resetting fuses. This unit will fit in a single gang electrical box and has a white cover plate.  We highly recommend this option.  It can be easily retrofitted to an existing Vari-Fan installation.

We use the 3-Blade Vari-Cyclone fan at www.nealcreekfarm.com and absolutely love it.  At slower speeds the fan is near silent and if you want to really move some air on a warm day or evening, the volume of air flow at high speed is amazing.  You can literally blow the mosquitoes away when sitting under the fan.

We have owned lots of ceiling fans including some large AC units, and none of them move as much air as efficiently as Vari-Fan.  The amazing thing is how little energy they use!
